iclicker云是FIPPAcompliant (it follows provincial policy) and most data is stored securely in Canada. However, your account details are not stored in Canada, so you may choose to use an alias name when setting up your account.

You may find it easiest to use iClicker on a mobile device while attending your lecture’s web-conferencing session on your computer.

- The student version of iClicker Cloud is often called iClicker Reef。But don’t worry, these terms refer to the same tool.

How do I use iClicker Cloud?
You will need to set up an iClicker account to get started. Then you will sync up with your Canvas courses, join a live class session, and participate in the course activities your instructor provides during the lecture.

- Note that you do not have to use your UBC email. Account information like name and email are stored outside of Canada, so if you have privacy concerns, you can use an alias name and open a non-UBC e-mail account under that name. Let your instructor know what name you have registered under.
- Optionally, you can enter your student number as your student ID.

Add a course to your account

Participate in iClicker activities

- When an activity starts, you will see a question and your options for responding:
- 为了民意调查, you will be able to answer a single question in one of four ways: by choosing a multiple-choice item, writing a short answer (up to 140 characters), typing a numeric answer, or clicking part of an image.
- 为了quizzes, you will answer multiple questions by choosing a multiple-choice item for each, then reviewing and submitting all your answers.
- You will see an “Answer Received” or quiz submitted confirmation once you’ve submitted your response.
